  1. Howie doesn't tell Ms.Gossim that she’s going to be fired because she would know and tell the Principal and the Principal would ask where she heard that and she would say Howie and Howie would get in trouble. He also won’t tell Ms.Gossim because it might make her sad and Howie would feel bad. This will be hard for Howie because Howie has feelings for Ms.Gossim and doesn't want to make her upset. He also doesn't want to tell her because he is going to try and stop Dr.Lomister from firing Ms.Gossim

    2. I agree Ethan that Howie would probably get in trouble and that you kind of copied from the back of the book where it did say that Howie intends to save Miss Gossim from being fired.

  2. I think Howie doesn’t tell Miss Gossim what he knows is about to happen to her because Miss Gossim will probably be freaked out if Howie told her and she would be so sad that she would have to leave. She would also ask, “How do you know this? Who told you this?!” She would also be bummed out that she would have to be fired and that she was one of the schools best teachers.

If Lomister does fire her, it will be so hard for Howie because she is one of their best teachers in the whole school and Howie really likes her because she smiles a lot and she is friendly and she helps the students out like when Howie was really wet with black water and she is just so smiley and sunny and really helpful and caring and other things too. That is why Howie would have a hard time if MIss Gossim left.

  3. Don`t you now there`s a war on

Howard does not want to tell Miss Gossim and ruin her job especially because Howard knows Dr. Lomister is firing Miss Gossim. He just does Not want to hurt Miss Gossim`s Feelings. This is so important to Howard
because that is the lady he loves so he does not want to hurt her Feelings. And if Miss Gossim gets fired it will be really hard on him.

    1. Great thinking. If he told her I don't think it would ruin her job. It would actually might be helpful to get a heads up about being fired.

  4. I think that Howie won’t tell Miss Gossim that she is going to be fired because Miss Gossim might not believe him, or because she might ask principal Lomister and he would be busted for snooping. If Lomister fires Miss Gossim it will be hard on Howie because one she was his favorite teacher. And because he might feel guilty that he didn’t do anything about it. And I kind of think that all of the other kids would be mad at him. And he might have lost his best friend for not telling him that she is going to be fired. Denny and him even made a rule that they can’t keep secrets. That is what I think about Howie.

  5. I think Howie does not tell Mrs. Gossim that she is getting fired because maybe she would become suspicious of how did you know that. Or she might question the principle how does Howie know that or most importantly she would question Howie. How do you know that? He would half to lie and lose her trust.

    1. I agree that too Joel because she would probably ask, "How do you know this?" It would be hard for Howie to explain what he knew.

  6. I think Howie doesn't tell Ms. Gossim because he might get in trouble for spying on Dr. Lomister, and Ms. Gossim might not believe him anyway. It would be hard on Howie if Ms. Gossim got fired because Ms. Gossim is his favorite teacher. She cares about the students, like when she does the map with their relatives that are in the war. She also never gets mad, but only says that she is disappointed.

  7. I agree Brady he probably would get in trouble if he told Ms.Gossim he would just have to help her silently and he would have a tough time helping Ms.Gossim if he couldn't warn her.
